It's rare that I am ever home. I clock many many maaaaany hours at work, and it is just lovely to have time to spend at home.
The dog is underfoot, and I've just finished cleaning up our study. I get to light a candle, listen to music while doing my paperwork, and enjoy a coffee - not at speed.
I recently returned from Sydney, for a second time in two months, and I must say that some things never remain the same, and yet, some things just don't change. I drove down to Clovelly beach and sat in my car, window down, listening to the waves crashing. A few lots down from me was a man sitting in his hatchback's boot opened to the ocean, with a thermos in one hand, and a book in another... ...never in Singapore.
I cut my hair off, found some great coffee, and with just a little nostalgia, rented out my old apartment.
Life goes on...
